Photographing Monument Valley

Thursday, 18 October 2018 - Woke early to catch sunrise at the Mittens formation and photographed the iconic landscape including Ford's Point and Three Sisters, captured sweeping desert vistas and classic Monument Valley scenes, and ended the adventure with a farewell dinner in Mexican Hat with guide LeRoy where we celebrated the trip and the new photography techniques he taught.

A group of girls jumped in the air on Ford's Point. My camera was set for a longer exposure so they were blurred by their movement.

LeRoy and Cal at the farewell dinner in Mexican Hat - at the Swinging Steak. They barbecued on a grill which swung over the fire. We all had a good time - at dinner and also during the entire trip.

The trip was great - if I have a chance I am going to sign up for more trips with LeRoy he taught me a new technique for focusing to get the whole landscape sharp.
