Monday, 10 April 1995 - Extended our stay in San Miguel de Allende falling in love with its narrow cobbled streets, handsome churches, and opulent colonial mansions. Enjoyed dinner at a Mexican restaurant with live jazz and a lively singer straight from New Orleans, wandered plazas and historic buildings including the Paseo del Chorro where the town began at a water spring, browsed local boutiques and antique shops, soaked up the town's traditional charm blended with a cosmopolitan air, and relaxed in the beautiful hotel courtyard surrounded by flowering bougainvillea.
