Friday, 30 August 2019 - Missed our plane in the morning so spent the afternoon in Kathmandu, took the Chandragiri cable car up the mountain to visit Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple photographed stone carvings and shrine details, saw a colorful Indian Palm Squirrel then walked the peaceful Garden of Dreams with pavilions, flowers, and fountains before returning to the hotel.

At the top of the hill is Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple with this priest. The marks present on his forehead are tilaka worn by the followers of Shiva. It consists of three horizontal bands across the forehead with a circle in the middle. This is traditionally done with sacred ash from fire sacrifices.

Prithivi Narayan Shahawas the last ruler of the Gorkha Kingdom, present-day Nepal, and first monarch of the Kingdom of Nepal. Prithvi Narayan Shah is credited for starting the campaign for the unification of Nepal.

I took very few animal pictures on this trip - this was one of a little squirrel - yes I know - it looks like a chipmunk, but it is an Indian Palm Squirrel.

On our way back to the hotel we stopped at the Garden of Dreams. This is a small English garden tucked away off a busy street

The garden was famous as the garden of Six Seasons which was created by Field Marshal Kaiser Sumsher Rana (1892-1964) in early 1920.
