Hawaiian Island Cruise

Saturday, 31 December 2022 - Arrived in Honolulu after a long travel day, got to the port just in time despite storm-related flight delays, enjoyed sunset views from downtown and aboard the ship, and had a festive New Year's dinner on the Pride of America with family and friends.

Today was a long day of travel finally arriving at the port at 5:00 pm which was very close to the deadline for boarding. We were very lucky - due to a storm, our flight connection in Salt Lake was delayed which would mean we would miss the ship leaving Honolulu. Delta let us know a day in advance, allowing us to rebook an American flight which Cal's mother was taking to Hawaii. We took the last two seats available on the plane.

Downtown Honolulu in the setting sun - very pretty. We would not see this size building on the rest of our cruise.

Not sure what happened to Cal's lei. We had a great New Years dinner in the steak restaurant. So good we tried to get reservations for other days and could not get in at any time.
