Tuesday, 5 November 2024 - Up before sunrise to photograph the Mesquite Dunes in the beautiful dawn light, watched the sun rise over the desert, in the afternoon we returned to Mesquite Dunes for sunset, hiking back to the trucks in the dark and enjoyed an early dinner at the hotel.

The next morning I was on my own again and decided to return to Mesquite Dunes. Having already hiked to them the day before, I had no trouble finding a good place to enter the dunes in the dark.

deathvalley2024 — Ripples in the sand without footsteps. I was a long way from the public parking for Mesquite Dunes and the other tourists.

deathvalley2024 — Cracks in the desert floor lead into the dunes.

A mile walk back to the trucks in the dark and an early dinner at the hotel.
