East African Safari

Saturday, 23 September 2017 - Went out on a morning safari while Virginia Ann relaxed at camp, photographed herds of elephants and young calves, rhinos, and Cape buffalo with oxpeckers in the Lewa Wilderness, then packed up after breakfast, flew on Safari Link to Nairobi, met our driver Julius, checked into House of Waine in Karen, and enjoyed lunch and dinner in the city.

Cal went out on Safari and I took it easy - we still got up early as it was habit by now.

We came upon an Elephant herd near a swamp. It was a good size herd and in a small area so they were all together.

Of course I began looking for the little Elephants. There were several young pachyderms.

We left Lewa Wilderness after Cal returned and we had breakfast.

On a Safari Link jet, we arrived in Nairobi. Julius met us and took us to House of Waine in Karen where we would stay until we depart the International Airport for the U.S.

We had lunch at the hotel and dinner than evening.
